Description

Allcon Contracting was selected by the State University Construction Fund to transform the gymnasium at Nold Hall for the State University of New York College of Technology at Farmingdale, marking Allcon’s first project on the campus and the beginning of a long-standing partnership. The scope included demolition of the existing athletic floor, bleachers, sports equipment, press box, and unsuitable sub-slab materials, followed by installation of a new recessed concrete slab and a state-of-the-art wood and urethane athletic flooring system designed to accommodate multiple sports, all executed within an active school environment. Supporting upgrades included modifications to fire protection and electrical systems, along with new exterior improvements such as landscaping and a decorative concrete plaza at the main entry. The completed gymnasium now accommodates over 3,000 spectators and stands as one of the jewels of the campus, an active, high-impact facility built to serve students and the community for generations to come.
