The PS 29 Brooklyn project is currently underway and involves the construction of a five-story brick masonry addition with a cellar to accommodate a new elevator and dedicated toilet facilities, significantly improving building accessibility and circulation. The scope also includes construction of an accessible entrance ramp and targeted interior modifications to achieve full program accessibility compliance. Additional work includes the installation of new fire alarm, public address, and public clock systems, along with the integration of required low-voltage infrastructure to support building operations. The project requires careful coordination with existing structures, including selective cutting, patching, and restoration, and is being executed with a strong emphasis on safety, durability, and functionality within an active school environment.
