Allcon Contracting was selected to construct two 3,000 square foot infrastructure building additions on top of the existing parking structure/promenade at the Brighton Beach Brooklyn boardwalk, located just 300 feet from the ocean. This project was necessary due to severe damages incurred during Superstorm Sandy. Allcon's work included the construction of new facilities to house boilers, hot water heaters, electrical services, and a new generator system. The 18-story, 192-unit apartment building for seniors was fully occupied during construction, requiring extensive coordination between Allcon and the construction manager. The project also included the replacement of all windows and balcony doors, as well as the installation of over 15,000 square feet of built-up roofing and 35,000 square feet of unit pavers throughout the building. Through collaboration and efficient work, Allcon was able to complete the project ahead of schedule.
